There are numerous reasons why I wrote this track but the most prevalent is the recognition of active choice. Once fully activated, you just do stuff that promotes your vision. I believe (after extensive research) that I was born psychedelic, I have always seen the world in ways that most do not. For many years I hid from these glorious visions and looking back, that was detrimental and foolhardy. Why I shied away from my role as a conscious co creator was a childlike effort at trying to fit into other peoples ideas of me. I wanted to fit in, to be accepted, in a world which was mostly shades of grey, what a twat I was. By traveling and letting go of that grey world, I started to embrace my vision. Sure, I got snapped back a few times but no-more. This recording was made as a demo many years ago and I recently found it on a hard drive. My world is very beautiful. The Upward Spiral.
lyrics
Dreamt of drinking from your cup
I got confused which way is up
I wore the smile to hide my tears
Bravado covered all my fears
I didn’t care where I was thrown
If someone’s there I’m not alone
Slept inside your septic tank
It’s hard to say how low I sank
Couldn’t bare to wear a frown
I spiraled up instead of down
I spiraled up instead of down
If someone’s there I’m not alone
I slept inside your septic tank
It’s hard to say how low I sank
I can’t live with this decision
I can’t do the long division
Cleansed myself of all the hate
I’m standing at the open gate
Made a choice not left for fate
I’m counting on myself
I’m counting on myself
I bathe inside the golden glow
Inside the golden glow
It’s gonna show me where to go
So warm inside the undertow
It’s deeper than the ocean’s flow
We’re gonna reap what we will sow
I’m gonna live in love town
Gonna live in love town
I’m gonna live in love town
And no ones gonna bring me down
In love town
No ones gonna bring me down down
